I'm actually kind of glad I'm not in America for Final Crisis. I'm not even in stores and I'm horrified at the number of spinoffs DC's doing. Are they insane? Is anyone really buying what, 6 books a week just to keep up with this shit? I don't know what's happening, I don't really care what's happening, and even once it's all over and conveniently collected into trade form I probably still won't be able to read it. I mean I never did read all of Infinite Crisis (read the main series, but all those side stories, sweet dumplings no, I just can't bear it). I'll just get the short version from my fangirls and Scans_Daily. They'll tell me who Didio killed/resurrected this time around and I'll carry on my oblivious way, sticking my fingers in my ears and humming loudly while I read Blue Beetle*.

Speaking of blissful ignorance ::peeks through fingers:: is RIP over yet? I am actually planning to read that, to see Tim you-know-what if nothing else, but I have to wait until it's done. It's hard enough getting comics from over here, keeping 4 different titles in the right order is just not happening. So...is it done? Can I look yet?


*BB 29 was mediocre. I hope the new writer's just settling in. But it does say something about the BB series so far, when I'm so used to every issue being The Greatest Thing I've Ever Read that I'm depressed by something that's merely good. :D
